Overrunning engineering works halt Javelin services
Overrunning engineering works on the railway bought chaos to the High Speed train service last night (Sunday).
The Javelin services between Ashford and London St Pancras had been cancelled during the day due to the work which was just outside Ashford International station.
However they resumed just before 5pm – but as the work had not finished the first train was halted for around 90 minutes.
Other High Speed services were backed up behind it and knock-on delays occurred throughout the evening.
