Linda Gorey, 52, was sentenced to 29 months at Canterbury Crown Court
A 52-year-old woman has been jailed for more than two years after breaking into three homes in Folkestone.
Linda Gorey, of Moat Farm Road, Folkestone, was sentenced to 29 months at Canterbury Crown Court today (Thursday).
Gorey had admitted burglary at homes in Bonsor Road on January 15, in Watkin Road on January 18 and asked for a third burglary in Bonsor Road on January 17 to be taken into consideration.
In one of the Bonsor Road burglaries, the 86-year-old homeowner found Gorey in her bedroom when she went to bed at 9.30pm.
The elderly woman demanded Gorey leave her home and later she found that her purse and a gold watch and wedding ring were missing.
A 66-year-old woman living in the other burgled property in Bonsor Road was woken by a noise and went downstairs to find Gorey in her lounge.
After she left, the woman found her purse and a mahogany box were missing.
A handbag stolen from the Watkin Road property was later found in a tumble drier by police officers searching Gorey’s address.
